The NRT research efforts are anchored to sustainable development goals of the UN and will focus on infusing holistic design for policies, products, processes, places, and pedagogy for serving people. Research efforts will converge disciplines, systematically study holistic design in different phasesof design processes, and address inequities in different communities of need including low-resource, vulnerable communities. 

Our four-dimensional, transdisciplinary, convergent framework will help organize our research efforts, at the intersections of which we plan to tackle research problems in holistic design.
